زلزلے کے شدید جھٹکوں نے خوف و ہراس پھیلا دیا، شہری گھروں اور عمارتوں سے باہر نکل آئے  زلزلہ آنے کے بعد لوگ کلمہ طیبہ کا ورد کرتے ہوئے گھروں سے باہر نکل آئے زلزلے کی شدت، گہرائی اور مرکز کی تفصیلات کا انتظار کیا جا رہا ہے۔  پنجاب کے دارالحکومت لاہور سمیت ملک کے کئی علاقے شدید زلزلے سے لرز گئے
