Rawalpindi Commissioner said that I accept the responsibility of election rigging in Rawalpindi Division. I have surrendered myself to the police for election rigging. I have done injustice in Rawalpindi. We have given 50 thousand lead to the losing candidates. Commissioner Rawalpindi said that all the administrative institutions including police and election commission staff are involved in this rigging of election. We changed the election results of 14 constituencies of National Assembly and Provincial Assembly. I am resigning from my post.

I also tried to commit suicide this morning after Fajr prayer, but then I thought why not put all these things in front of the Pakistani public. Why should I die a forbidden death myself? I request from the bureaucracy, do not do anything wrong for political persons.

Ali Chatta said that I accept the responsibility of election rigging in Rawalpindi division. I surrender myself for election rigging. I have done injustice in Rawalpindi division; Commissioner Rawalpindi says irregularities are a small word. I apologize from the returning officers under me.

راولپنڈی کمشنر نے کہا کہ راولپنڈی ڈویژن میں انتخابی دھاندلی کی ذمہ داری قبول کرتا ہوں۔ میں نے انتخابی دھاندلی پر خود کو پولیس کے حوالے کر دیا ہے۔ راولپنڈی میں میرے ساتھ ناانصافی ہوئی ہے۔ ہم نے ہارنے والے امیدواروں کو 50 ہزار کی برتری دی ہے۔ کمشنر راولپنڈی نے کہا کہ الیکشن کی اس دھاندلی میں پولیس اور الیکشن کمیشن کا عملہ سمیت تمام انتظامی ادارے ملوث ہیں۔ ہم نے قومی اسمبلی اور صوبائی اسمبلی کے 14 حلقوں کے انتخابی نتائج تبدیل کر دیئے۔ میں اپنے عہدے سے استعفیٰ دے رہا ہوں۔

میں نے بھی آج صبح فجر کی نماز کے بعد خودکشی کی کوشش کی لیکن پھر سوچا کہ کیوں نہ یہ سب باتیں پاکستانی عوام کے سامنے رکھیں۔ میں خود کیوں حرام موت مروں؟ میری بیوروکریسی سے درخواست ہے کہ سیاسی لوگوں کے لیے کوئی غلط کام نہ کریں۔

علی چٹھہ نے کہا کہ راولپنڈی ڈویژن میں انتخابی دھاندلی کی ذمہ داری قبول کرتا ہوں۔ میں انتخابی دھاندلی کے لیے خود کو سپرد کرتا ہوں۔ راولپنڈی ڈویژن میں میرے ساتھ ناانصافی ہوئی ہے۔ کمشنر راولپنڈی کا کہنا ہے کہ بے ضابطگی چھوٹا لفظ ہے۔ میں اپنے ماتحت ریٹرننگ افسران سے معافی مانگتا ہوں۔
